All fame must come to an end

Honestly, it’s not really that big of a surprise that The Vince Staples Show has been canceled, as it struggled for two seasons to make a solid impact, despite critical success. The satirical biography show follows Staples, a kind of famous and sort of rich rapper-actor, as he navigates the bizarre challenges of everyday life in Long Beach, California, while also journeying toward inner peace.

Pulse

This storyline has flatlined

After a premiere season that showcased the high-pressure environment of a modern hospital and the lives of its staff, Pulse has officially been canceled. If you haven’t seen it and medical dramas are your jam, you can get what you need out of the season one arc. It’s certainly not as riveting and engrossing as HBO Max’s The Pitt, but it does offer a realistic portrayal of the healthcare industry through a specific, dramatic narrative lens.

Miss Governor

The office has been vacated

Originally named She the People, the Tyler Perry comedy series was renamed mid-season to Miss Governor, which could be a contributing factor to its cancellation. The single, two-part season follows Antoinette Dunkerson (The Steve Harvey Show‘s Terri J. Vaughn), Mississippi’s first Black lieutenant governor, as she navigates the messy realities of Southern politics, a dismissive and prejudiced governor, and an unconventional family thrust into the public eye.

The Abandons

Abandoned way, way, way too soon

As a huge Sons of Anarchy fan, I was stoked to see that Kurt Sutter’s The Abandons was unfolding like it could be a prequel to his epic outlaw biker saga. Unfortunately, now we’ll never know, as Netflix has canceled the gritty Western after just one season, much to Sutter’s chagrin, reportedly due to “low viewership” and friction between the showrunner and the streamer. It’s such a shame, because The Abandons had so much potential, and increasing audience interest after its premiere proved it.

Terminator Zero

He won’t be back

After just one season, Terminator Zero has been officially canceled as of February 2026. Despite tremendous critical and audience reception, viewership numbers just weren’t there to justify a second season. Over the course of 8 episodes, the animated series follows a resistance fighter sent back to 1997 Tokyo to protect an AI scientist from being hunted by an indestructible cyborg.

The lights are officially out

In early 2026, Class, Netflix’s Indian spin-off of Elite, was officially canceled. While the show initially did receive a renewal for season 2, those lights quietly went out behind the scenes. The show follows the dramatic dynamics of an exclusive school in Delhi and the tumultuous events that ensue.

With Love, Meghan

Cooking and crafts with celebs gets the axe

One of Netflix’s most contentious reality shows is officially dead in the water, not long after it got started. With Love, Meghan focused on Meghan Markle’s time spent with a slew of celebrities, engaging in arts, crafts, and cooking from a rented house. While the show drew eyes for its debut, season 2 and the Christmas special were no-shows.

The Witcher

Lost, found, and now coming to an end

Dark fantasy series The Witcher will be concluding with its fifth season, which is scheduled to release this year. Based on a popular book franchise, the story follows a mutated monster hunter as he travels across a dangerous continent. It also explores the interconnected destinies of a powerful sorceress and a young princess with a mysterious heritage. Season five promises to provide a resolution to the epic character saga, which will see Liam Hemsworth return as Geralt of Rivia.

A teen drama about a group of treasure-hunting friends, Outer Banks is coming to an end this year with the release of its fifth and final season, despite its strong presence on streaming charts. The story is set in a coastal town where our characters navigate dangerous rivals, social conflicts, and complex family secrets.

Outer Banks season 5 will premiere in late summer or early fall of 2026.
