Save $350: The Garmin Fenix 8 Pro is still discounted by $350 after Amazon Prime Day, bringing the price down from $1,200 to $850 — the lowest price it’s ever been.

Amazon Prime Day may be over, but with several discounts lingering, it’s still a great time to buy high-ticket items you’ve been eyeing all year at a discount. One device that ZDNET readers have been ordering during Prime Day week is the Garmin Fenix 8 Pro, which has been one of our top 3 sellers of the sale

The Fenix 8 Pro is a rugged and cult-favorite smartwatch loved by outdoor enthusiasts and exercise freaks. It’s also our tested pick for the best Garmin watch you can buy. The $1,200 smartwatch’s price is nothing to sneeze at, and a $350 Prime Day discount brings it down a bit.

The smartwatch tracks practically every sport in the book, and you can hook golf club or bike sensors up to the watch to gain insights directly from the Fenix 8 Pro.

There are a few highlights to the Fenix 8 Pro that make it the fan-favorite that it is. The first is the flashlight on the smartwatch, which Garmin devotee and ZDNET smartwatch reviewer Matt Miller deemed ultra-useful in his review. It’s got a MicroLED screen for vibrant and vivid visuals. The smartwatch also has satellite communication features, so you can call or text without your phone handy, though you’ll need to pay for Garmin’s subscription to activate emergency satellite calls.

If you are someone who doesn’t mind a bulky watch, you’ll have little issue with the heft and thickness of this one. It’s 2mm thicker than the Fenix 8, so this smartwatch is best suited for people with large wrists who prefer heavy watches. If that’s not you, consider one of Garmin’s other, smaller watches, like the Vivoactive 5 (now on sale for $190) or the Forerunner 265S (on sale for $350).

The Fenix 8 Pro is best for people looking to exercise or hike outdoors, ideally off-grid, so they can use those satellite communications features if need be, and for someone looking for a high-tech, advanced activity tracking device.

How I rated this deal

Because the Garmin Fenix 8 Pro is a luxury smartwatch and it’s on sale for almost 30% off, I’m rating this deal a 5/5.

Amazon’s Prime Day event runs Tuesday, June 23 to Friday, June 26, 2026. The deals event comes earlier this year, as it usually takes place during the first few weeks of July.

SanDisk SSD

Best Buy/ZDNET

Whether you need a high-capacity SSD for large game downloads, raw and rendered videos or photos, a digital art portfolio, or just to back up your PC and documents, the SanDisk Desk Drive is an almost-perfect option with up to 8TB of space. And if you’ve been putting off buying a backup drive due to high costs, right now is the perfect time to pick up the SanDisk Desk Drive. Best Buy is offering an impressive 62% discount, bringing the price down to $740; still pricey, but much closer to pre-AI costs than I’ve seen in a long time.

The SanDisk Desk Drive packs 8TB of storage into a compact design, measuring just 3.9 x 1.58 inches and weighing just over half an ounce. This makes it ideal for tucking away on a smaller desk, in a drawer, or in a travel bag for mobile professionals. It uses USB-C connectivity for read and write speeds up to 1,000MB/s. This means you’ll get quick and simple file transfers when you need to free up space on your main storage drive.

You’ll also get plug-and-play compatibility with both Windows and macOS, making it one of the more flexible storage options on the market (sorry, Linux users).

It also includes automatic backup and recovery software to help keep your data safe from accidental deletion and corruption. And with a 3-year warranty, you’ll get peace of mind that your SanDisk Desk Drive is covered if it ever gets accidentally damaged in a fall or if you run into any defects.

How I rated this deal

High-capacity SSDs have seen skyrocketing prices in the last few years due to both the crypto and AI booms. But with this massive 61% discount, you can get your hands on an 8TB SanDisk Desk Drive for well under $1,000. While still a bit pricey, it’s much closer to pre-AI costs. That’s why I gave this deal a 5/5 Editor’s rating.
