The Bose SoundLink Plus is 33% off during Amazon’s Prime Day sale, dropping to $179 from $269, which is the lowest price we’ve seen this product since Black Friday. During Memorial Day sales, the SoundLink Plus was only 22% off, sporting a $60 discount. Amazon and Bose are discounting the SoundLink Plus to $179, though Amazon’s sale excludes this speaker in the Citrus Yellow color, while Bose offers it.
According to Bose, the SoundLink Plus will remain on sale until June 28, though Amazon’s sale may disappear when Prime Day ends on June 26.

Bose’s SoundLink Plus speaker is my go-to portable speaker. I’ve taken it to pool parties, days on the beach, cookouts, and laid-back porch hangouts. If you want a Bluetooth speaker that’s equal parts stylish and practical, you can’t go wrong with this one.
Bose fitted the SoundLink Plus with one midwoofer, one tweeter, and four passive radiators. The four passive radiators use extra air inside the speaker configuration to produce additional bass, which is a plus when you’re using this speaker outdoors, and you lose some audio to open air. If big bass is your thing, the SoundLink Plus doesn’t disappoint.
The SoundLink Plus features an IP67 durability rating, making it protected against solid particles and water exposure. Though the SoundLink Plus’s “7” digit means it can be submerged in up to three feet of water for up to 30 minutes, Bose designed the speaker to float when it falls in water. This speaker isn’t designed to remain floating, but the floatation makes for easy retreival in the event of an accident.
Review: Bose SoundLink Plus
The SoundLink Plus promises up to 20 hours of playtime, and the speaker’s USB-C port doubles as a reverse charging port if your phone’s battery needs some extra juice. If the speaker is still too wet internally to charge another device, its status light will blink amber, saving you from a lithium-ion-fueled disaster.
Among the many Bluetooth speakers I’ve used, the SoundLink Plus is my favorite for its rugged specs without the rugged look. With a matte silicone casing and a minimalist design, it looks as good as it sounds. At this sale price, I can’t recommend this speaker more if aesthetics are as important to you as practicality.
Though the SoundLink Plus offers features similar to those of cheaper speakers, such as the JBL Charge 6, it is undoubtedly more stylish.
How I rated this deal
I gave this deal a 4/5, as it’s offered at its lowest price. Additionally, the SoundLink Plus is a great speaker, delivering several useful features, such as reverse USB-C charging, 20 hours of battery life, and water and dustproofing.
Amazon’s Prime Day sale begins on Tuesday, June 23, and ends on Friday, June 26.
According to Bose’s website, this deal will expire on June 28, which is two days after Prime Day sales end. It’s unclear if Amazon will discontinue this deal on June 26, when Prime Day ends, or if it will be available shortly after the sale ends.
