GTA VI pre-orders open June 25. Rockstar revealed the cover art. No price yet.

TL;DR

GTA VI pre-orders start June 25 on PlayStation, Xbox, and select retailers. November 19 launch. Cover art revealed. No price or editions announced yet.

Rockstar Games confirmed that pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI open on June 25. The game will be available on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and at select retailers. Rockstar also revealed the official cover art, which features protagonists Jason and Lucia alongside scenes from the game’s Vice City setting.

GTA VI launches November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. No PC release date has been announced. Rockstar is following the same console-first pattern it used for GTA V, which arrived on PC roughly 18 months after its console debut.

Pricing has not been confirmed. The standard edition is expected to cost between $70 and $80, in line with current AAA pricing. Information about different editions or premium bundles has not been disclosed.

The cover art is segmented into multiple panels featuring characters, a helicopter, a crocodile, a boat with a flamingo, and several other figures from the game’s cast. Players can add GTA VI to their wishlist now to be alerted when pre-orders go live.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has confirmed that the game is entirely handcrafted with zero generative AI. Rockstar’s worlds are built “building by building, street by street,” Zelnick said, making GTA VI the most expensive and most public test of whether human craft still commands a premium in an industry increasingly turning to AI tools.

GTA V has sold nearly 230 million copies across three console generations and continues to generate revenue through its online mode. Take-Two expects GTA VI to “establish new record levels of operating performance.” The November launch date has already reshaped the gaming calendar, with major publishers moving their releases out of the month entirely.
